Zuza Dolega is an artist, a tutor and a researcher based in Poland.
In 2015 she got her MFA degree in the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. From October 2016 – she started her PhD studies: Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk (Faculty of Painting). From October 2017 – she became full-time assistant at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in two Drawing Studios.
She is laureate of numerous scholarships, among other the Scholarships of the Rector of Fine Arts Academy in Gdańsk, Scholarships of the President of Gdynia, Award of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, Scholarship of the Science and Higher Education.
She was/is associated, among others, with Traffic Design Association, TuBAZA Cultural Center, Pracownia Malarstwa i Grafiki (Painting and Graphic Arts Workshop), art studio in Dalmor S.A. Gdynia, HALO KULTURA, o81 Female Collective, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, and – as a professor’s assistant – art-therapy studies in Gdańsk (association between three Academies in Gdańsk – Fine Arts Academy, Musical Academy and Medical University in Gdańsk).
She took part in numerous art-research projects and exhibitions (solo and group) of national and worldwide range.
Since 2012 she consequently specializes in the technique of pyrography, light and paper art for painting, drawing, collages, site-specific installations, objects. Her field of research and interests also revolves around neuroscience and synesthesia.
Zuza is born in 1990 in Gdynia.pl, where she lives and works now.
